China sets a record for grain production!

China’s National Bureau of Statistics said on Friday that the country’s grain production reached a record high of more than 714 million tonnes in the current year 2025.

Data from the authority showed that China’s grain output for the year 2025 reached 714.88 million tons, an increase of 1.2 percent from last year’s output, estimated at 706.5 million tons.

The authority said this bountiful harvest was supported by the increase in cultivated area and production per unit. Grain areas increased for the sixth consecutive year to exceed 119 million hectares in 2025, while grain production per unit area increased by 1.1% compared to last year.
